2003 Communicator of Achievement

Cathy A. Langemo, Bismarck, was recognized as NDPC's 2003 Communicator of Achievement at the annual conference held June 6-7 in Grand Forks.

The Communicator of Achievement award honors its recipients for accomplishments in the communications field, service to the community and contributions to NDPC and NFPW. Langemo, along with Communicators of Achievement from others states will be honored at the national meeting Sept. 4-6, 2003, in Wilmington, DE. There the NFPW Communicator of Achievement will be named.

A member of NFPW and NDPC since 1996, Langemo has won numerous writing and editing awards through the two organizations.

She is active in many other organizations as well, including Westerners, Missouri Valley Historical Society, State Historical Society of North Dakota Foundation, North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame, Bismarck-Mandan Historical and Genealogical Society, North Dakota State Genealogical Society and Three Crowns American-Swedish Association.

Langemo and her husband, Rick Knudson, live in Bismarck, where she operates a home-based writing, editing and research business, WritePlus Inc.
