2009 NDPC Conference
NDPC’s 2009 conference, “Retooling for a New Age of Communication,” was May 1-2 at the Grand International Inn in Minot, N.D.
Saturday, May 2 began with the NDPC annual meeting at 8 a.m. Sessions on May 2 included:
- Crisis communication with Laurie Arellano, director of public affairs at Minot Air Force Base
- Photography with Michael Linnell of The Minot Daily News (4 pictures)
- Diversity in the workplace with Minot Air Force Base Equal Employment Opportunity personnel (1 picture)
- Northern Plains Writing Project’s writer training and Lostwood Writers, a freelance writers group, with Ron Fischer of Minot State University
NDPC recognized winners in the 2009 college communication contest at a luncheon on May 2. Winners in the NDPC communication contest were recognized at an awards banquet at 5:30 p.m. May 2 at Michael’s.
Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the Scandinavian Heritage Center and Park.
