2013 NDPC Scholarship
Each year North Dakota Professional Communicators awards the $500 Marion J. Piper Scholarship (formerly the Marion Piper Sullivan Memorial Scholarship) to a local college student. The application deadline was April 5, 2013. Read more.

2012 NFPW Communication Contest
Twelve members of NDPC won awards in the 2012 National Federation of Press Women’s communications contest. Winners were recognized at the annual fall conference in Scottsdale, Ariz. Read more.
2012 NDPC Fall Workshop
The fall workshop “Makeover Your Communication, Your Career, Yourself” was Friday, Oct. 12 at The Forum in Fargo. Sessions included behind the media scene at “Extreme Home Makeover,” makeover your brand, yoga and creativity for writers, and more.

2012 NDPC Conference
NDPC held its spring conference on April 26-27, 2012, at the Kelly Inn in Bismarck. Award-winning speaker Jeff Herrington presented a daylong program on writing for the Web and helping you to think like a reporter and to write 2.0 news releases. Read more.
2011 NDPC Fall Workshop
“The Best NDPC Fall Workshop by a Dam Site!” was NDPC’s 2011 fall workshop held at the Riverdale High Lodge. Dates were Oct. 6-7. Included were tours of the Garrison Dam Power Plant and National Fish Hatchery, plus the opportunity to learn from keynote speakers, Marilyn Hudson and Dave Borlaug. Read more.

Communicators hosted NFPW’s national conference in Bismarck, Sept.
19-21. The 2002 conference’s theme was “Discovering New Frontiers:

honored members, networked with each other, and enjoyed North
