Linda Sailer joined North Dakota Professional Communicators in 1972 and remained active through 2019. She died July 31, 2024, at age 76, in Dickinson, N.D.

Linda attended North Dakota State University where she majored in physical education. Linda served as the lifestyle editor for The Dickinson Press covering the community’s stories with passion for over 50 years.

She regularly earned awards for her feature stories, section editing and photography in both the NDPC and NFPW communications contests. In 2014 and 2015 Linda won first place in the NDPC sweepstakes competition, and she had many second- and third-place sweepstakes finishes over the years. Linda was named NDPC's 1998 Communicator of Achievement.

The family is accepting donations to establish a North Dakota journalism scholarship in Linda’s honor.
