In a world full of receipts, proof, timelines, and screenshots, compiling and sharing data to understand the impact of marketing and communications efforts is more important than ever! Mark Maliskey, Marketing and Communications Manager for the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation (EDC), will share insight into his experience identifying, tracking, and implementing change based on key performance indicators (KPIs). 

An example of KPIs that inspired Mark to share his story came from reviewing social media analytics. While updating the EDC's weekly KPI dashboards, he discovered that over one year, a single LinkedIn post from the EDC President & CEO had reached 4.53 times more people than one post from the EDC organizational account. That discovery sparked a new messaging strategy centered on regular staff-driven social media content. Each team member acts as an ambassador for the organization, and regularly posting about their work has dramatically amplified the organization's reach. 

In this session, Mark will share how he identifies which data to track, how he compiles and presents results to stakeholders, and how those insights inform the EDC's marketing and communications strategy and decision-making.
